We Need The Cold Fronts It looks like the north east winds are blowing again. But in Stuart Florida Sport fishing capital of the world this is what we need. Winter time fishing with light tackle and fly rods can be great. When the winds blow down here it is a three day blow. But on the forth day the fishing should be great . The cold fronts bring down the sailfish , pompano, kingfish ,Spanish Macks., and Bluefish. This is the world of light tackle sport fishing. If the ocean is to rough the fishing should be great in the rivers, The pompano should bite on sand fleas, jigging spoons or jigs. Best colors are gold and orange jigs or root beer jigging spoons. You could fish for them with fly rods. The line has to be sinking. With some kind of pompano fly. The Spanish and bluefish will eat almost anything but reel your lure in fast. Capt. Joe’s silver and silver and green work very well. If you do get offshore the sail fishing should be great. Fish for them with light tackle, Lets say a 20lb outfit will work. For now catch them up.
